Research

Dr. Offman's research is generally concerned with sexual communication in intimate relationships. She is interested in how sexual communication differs from communication in other areas of the relationship and how one’s ability to communicate about sexuality impacts their level of sexual functioning. Her work covers both verbal and nonverbal communication styles and aims to provide a picture of what sexual communication looks like and the factors that underlie our ability to communicate about sexuality.
